Analyst
LOCATION: Remote (Chicago, New York, San Fransisco Preferred)
ROLE SUMMARY
The successful candidate will be responsible for serving as a venture capital professional supporting the operations of the investment team and investor network from sourcing through deployment of capital.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Research:
- Undertake guided and independent research to identify new markets and industry sectors
- Conduct in-depth business analysis to identify new competitive opportunities
Sourcing:
- Outreach and screen new, relevant, and exciting startups for investment purposes
- Manage/document meetings with entrepreneurs and general deal flow
- Represent Rebel One at industry events/conferences and support the local entrepreneurial community through active involvement
Investments:
- Develop investment thesis, support/lead investment deal process from origination to execution, provide ongoing investment monitoring and reporting
- Generate investment memos and present to investment committee by performing due diligence on team, market, product/technology, business model, risk factors, etc.
- Evaluate potential investments in early stage companies through financial due diligence, market research, and competitive analysis
Investor Network:
- Support administration of the investor network including management of deal flow database, manage partners meetings, coordinate partner meetings, and follow-up with startups in review
- Instruct, guide, and support Investor Training Program and Rebel One Fundraising activities
- Mentor start-ups on taking product to market, raising money, scaling, and other ad hoc business needs
- Provide production/content support for events and management sessions
QUALIFICATIONS
- 1–3 years of relevant experience, including but not limited to: technology / startups (preferably in product management / engineering), investment banking, management consulting, private equity, venture capital
- Excellent analytical and quantitative skills
- Extraordinary attention to detail
- Strong writing skills
- Proficiency in Google Docs, MS Office, CRMs, project management tools, etc.
- Intermediate spreadsheet experience (formulas, dashboards, charts, pivots and analysis)
- A demonstrated interest in the technology and startup community
- Ability to thrive in an unstructured environment with incomplete data
- Knowledge of cap tables, startup financing, and growth metrics
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to communicate with C-Suite executives, and VC Partners; adept at public speaking
- Highly organized, shown to meet tight deadlines along with consistent accuracy and attention to detail
- Advanced problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically, analytically and creatively

Growth Hacker, Digital Producer, Social Media Manager & Strategist
LOCATION: Remote (Chicago Preferred)
ROLE SUMMARY
Build the largest network of angels investing in impact. Influence a global movement in impact investing and social entrepreneurship. The successful intern will work directly with the partner and other senior professionals to see the generation, distribution, and dissemination of content across channels to enable a digital strategy creating a global movement to build wealth by investing in impact. This role is meant for individuals that are extremely entrepreneurial, have their own startup, or are interested in angel or venture capital investing.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Digital Strategy & Brand Development:
- Develop a digital strategy for a new ‘startup’ venture capital firm building a movement to ‘invest as impact’ and build a community to invest in the next generation of impact entrepreneurs
- Develop a national and global brand to engage digital audiences to enhance brand presence among startups as well as investors
- Direct a marketing and advertising strategy that supports the goals and objectives of the over all digital strategy including advising on team formation
- Draw from advertising, business, entrepreneurship, interactive arts and media, journalism, and public relations in one role.
- Gain real-world experience combining social media, digital strategy, content creation, brand strategy, design, production, and more.
Content Creation:
- Support the creation of interactive media content including videos, podcasts, newsletters, blog posts, graphic designs
- Build a national and global audience across startup founders, investors, and our stakeholders
- Standardize content creation process and support system including identifying opportunities for accelerating content dissemination across channels
- Build systems to accelerate the creation and dissemination of content through automation tools
Production:
- Produce advertising and branding focused on our core themes (zero disease, zero pollution, zero inequality, zero illiteracy, and zero poverty)
- Direct the production of advertising campaigns to our core personas
Manage:
- Direct, lead, projects and competitions to develop innovative marketing campaigns focused on our themes
- Manage outsourced content creators and third party content producers supporting the execution of our digital strategy
